Crypto startups raised more money but closed fewer deals in the most recent quarter, mirroring the broader slowdown seen in the digital-asset world.
Venture capital investment in crypto companies totaled $2.7 billion in the three months ended in June, a 2.5% increase from the first quarter and a 9.8% decrease from the year-earlier period, PitchBook data show. The number of deals closed dropped 12.5% from the first quarter.
