Rug Radio to Present Web3 Art and Culture Summit at Consensus Hong Kong 2025

Decrypt’s sister media company Rug Radio will showcase the best of Web3 art and culture at the upcoming Consensus event in Hong Kong, alongside a special contest on parent company DASTAN’s MYRIAD prediction market platform.

With a stellar line-up of speakers from projects including Mastercard, Ava Labs, Gate.io, Animoca Brands and The Sandbox, Rug Radio’s Web3 Art and Culture Summit will explore how brands, creators, entrepreneurs and developers are using Web3 technology to redefine culture and art.

“It makes sense that it’s a Rug Radio partnership, because Rug Radio is ingrained in the core Web3 native culture,” said Farokh Sarmad, President of Rug Radio’s parent company DASTAN.

Across a series of panels and fireside chats, Rug Radio will explore how new technologies are being used to rewrite the relationships between IP, fandom and mutually beneficial ecosystems of shared passions.

From how meme culture has created billion-dollar markets from viral jokes, to how artists are using AI tools to transform their output, the summit will provide a deep dive into Web3’s impact on the cultural landscape.

In a special discussion on Predicting Media Success, DASTAN’s President Farokh Sarmad and CEO Loxley Fernandes will showcase the company’s new on-chain prediction market MYRIAD, exploring how its dynamic, participatory model forms the bedrock of Rug Radio and Decrypt’s new media ecosystem.

MYRIAD will also run a prediction competition during Consensus, said Sarmad. “It’s really a cool partnership around the stage, around prediction markets, on media,” he said, explaining that the prediction market would feature special contests based around the summit and the conference itself.

Across its prediction market and quest platform, MYRIAD has hit more than 1.3 million predictions since its launch in beta, and reached 343,000 signups following its mainnet launch on Abstract in January, as well as being showcased as one of the main apps featured on the Abstract Global Wallet portal.
