Trending Altcoins Today: MODE, CHILLGUY, SLERF

With the total crypto market cap holding steady above $3 trillion, the roster of trending altcoins continues to shift. According to CoinGecko, today’s standout cryptocurrencies have earned their spots thanks to significant price movements and, notably, a key exchange listing.

The trending altcoins grabbing attention today are Mode (MODE), Chill Guy (CHILLGUY), and Slerf (SLERF), each drawing interest for their recent activity and market buzz.

Mode (MODE)

Mode is a Layer-2 project built using Optimism’s OP Stack. Launched in January, MODE, the project’s native token, is trending because the broader market has shown notable interest in it.

For instance, over the last 24 hours, the trading volume has increased to $700,000. However, the price has hovered around the same region at $0.13. Despite the decline, the daily chart shows that MODE’s price has broken out of a descending triangle. 

This breakout suggests that the bearish sentiment around the token is waning. As such, there is a chance for MODE’s value to climb. If this remains the case, the altcoin’s value might climb to $0.027.

On the other hand, if MODE falls below the support line of the triangle, it might no longer be part of the trending altcoins today. In that scenario, its price could decline to $0.0090.

Chill Guy (CHILLGUY)

Like yesterday, CHILLGUY is on the list of trending altcoins largely due to its price action. The meme coin, which recently caught the interest of the broader market, has increased by 70% within the last 24 hours.

Also, the fact that the market cap rallied above $400 million is one reason it is trending. As of this writing, CHILLGUY’s price has hit $0.40, with the volume showing that it has the potential to climb higher.

If that is the case, then CHILLGUY’s price could rise toward $0.50. On the other hand, if holders of the meme coin take profits, this might not happen. In that scenario, the token could experience a notable correction.

Slerf (SLERF)

SLERF is another Solana meme coin that is part of today’s trending altcoins. Unlike others, SLERF is trending because Binance announced that it is listing cryptocurrency in its futures market. A few minutes after the disclosure, SLERF’s price climbed by 40%

At press time, the cryptocurrency trades around $0.41. Considering the increase in the Money Flow Index (MFI), it is likely that SLERF’s price might continue to increase. If that is the case, then the altcoin’s value could rise to the highest point of the wick at $0.48.

On the other hand, if SLERF holders book profits from the recent hike, the token could drop to $0.30.
