President Donald Trump’s Official Trump (TRUMP) meme coin project has announced an airdrop. This initiative rewards consumers who have purchased merchandise from the official Trump line of products.
The airdrop claims to both recognize loyal supporters and expand the TRUMP crypto community.
TRUMP Meme Coin Airdrop: Details and Deadlines
The official announcement was shared via an X (formerly Twitter) post on February 17.
“You’ve shown your Love for President Trump by purchasing from Official Trump stores—now President TRUMP is loving YOU back!” the post read.
The airdrop offers individuals three TRUMP meme coins for purchases made at designated Trump stores. Eligible products for the airdrop include merchandise such as Trump-branded sneakers, watches, fragrances, and Trump cards.
To participate, customers must verify their eligibility through their email address. Only those who made purchases before February 15, 2025, are eligible to claim the airdrop. In addition, the deadline for claiming the TRUMP meme coins is set for March 1, 2025.
Notably, the airdrop coincided with the first month anniversary of the TRUMP token.
“On January 17, 2025 TRUMP meme took the world by storm. Nearly 1 million users held TRUMP in the first week, with 50% being first-time crypto users! This was one of the biggest crypto onboarding events in history,” the announcement further added.
While the airdrop is a clear effort to engage Trump supporters, the timing comes amidst turbulent price action for the TRUMP meme coin. After its launch, the TRUMP coin rose sharply and even hit an all-time high shortly after.
However, as the hype died down, the price suffered as well. Moreover, macroeconomic factors, such as the imposition of tariffs, have further pressured the TRUMP coin’s value, exacerbating its fall. It also hit a new all-time low earlier this month.
According to the latest data, the TRUMP coin has continued its downward trend after a brief recovery last week. At the time of writing, it was trading at $16.2, reflecting a 77.6% drop from its all-time high.
The losses extended beyond TRUMP, with the overall meme coin market capitalization down by 4.7%, according to CoinGecko. Each of the top 10 meme coins suffered declines in the past 24 hours. Similarly, the PolitiFi market cap also decreased by 11.0% over the past day.
